This fun stuffed koala is sweet and cuddly with soft gray fur, white accents, a large curious nose, and an understuffed, huggable body. Included is an educational animal information tag as follows:
Found in eastern Australia, koalas live in eucalyptus (gum) trees. Often called "koala bear," this animal is not a bear at all, it is a pouched mammal (marsupial). Their soft, woolly fur is light-gray to brown, and has patches of white on the chest, neck, and ears. This fur protects them from cold weather and rain. They are most active at night and spend 18 to 20 hours each day resting and sleeping. A female carries a single baby in its pouch for about six months. These herbivores (plant-eaters) eat eucalyptus (gum tree) leaves. Koalas have a keen sense of smell which they use to make sure the gum leaves are edible and not poisonous. They store food in cheek pouches.
