Emperors are the largest members of the penguin family, and live in Antarctica. There, temperatures can drop below -140°F. Females lay a single egg during winter, give it to the males to keep warm, and return to the sea. After nine long weeks, the egg hatches and the females return. Finally, the hungry dads can catch some fish! Both parents then take turns hunting fish and feeding the chick.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this little stuffed penguin goes towards Abhaya Charitable Foundation (USA), a nonprofit organization providing housing, education, and support of disadvantaged children throughout the world.
